The Apostasy

In 2 Thessalonians, Paul writes of the "man of sin" taking his place in the "naos" of God. This term, naos, is universally translated as "temple" by interpreters. However, in every other place that Paul uses the term, he is referring to the local church body of Messiah. This week's program investigates the implications of this more likely interpretation of the passage: namely, that the apostasy to which Paul refers is the gradual replacement in Christianity, as well as the world, of the fear of God with Greek humanism.
